The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall were welcomed by the German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier for a day of commemorations marking the country’s National Day of Mourning.
Later in the day, Prince Charles and Camilla laid a wreath to the victims of war and tyranny in all countries in a ceremony attended by Chancellor Angela Merkel and the President of the German Parliament Wolfgang Schäuble.
The heir to the throne also gave a speech in the Bundestag, in which he said that the two nations would "always be friends, partners and allies.” Report by Avagninag. Like us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/itn and follow us on Twitter at http://twitter.com/itn
