Yasir Abbas was Pakistan Navy’s Aeronautical engineer. He was martyred on 22 May 2011 at APNS Mehran Base. Yasir was not trained for combat against enemies, but he laid down his life for his country fighting against terrorists. Col Jafar, Yasir’s father, showed the uniform Yasir was wearing the day he was martyred. He said the uniform still contains Yasir’s fresh scent. Col Jafar disclosed that Yasir and he were very close and Yasir always wanted to achieve martyrdom. He also talked to his friends about dying while defending the country and with the bullets in his chest from the enemy.
