Amutha IAS is an officer who is respected by everyone from commoners to celebrities. Which ever field, any workplace, she will get compliments for working tirelessly. 'Honest IAS officer,sweet , the beloved of the people … ' are the qualities of Amutha for 27 years. She is currently working as a lecturer at the IAS Academy in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. Now she has been appointed as Joint Secretary to the Prime Minister's Office.Amutha will serve for five years. Thus, Amutha is currently the focus of all the media in Tamil Nadu.
After completing her B.Sc. Agri, she prepared for the Civil Service Examination. With success on the first try,she got posting as IPS officer. In her second attempt in 1994, she topped the list of selectors in Tamil Nadu. Also got IAS posting
She started her career as Cuddalore Sub-Collector. Since then, she has undergone 18 transfers over the past 27 years as sub collector, district collector, UNICEF Officer, multidisciplinary secretary, and training lecturer in Mussoorie.Amutha served as a special officer in charge of the funeral of Abdul Kalam,Jayalalithaa and Karunanidhi and received praise from all , regardless of party affiliation.
Her husband Shambhu Kalolikar is also an IAS officer. He is the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Forests in Tamil Nadu. They were married in 1996. Inspired by Amutha, her brother also took civil service exams and is currently an IFS officer. Beyond the IAS work environment, Amutha's personal life is even more interesting.
Amutha, who is also interested in wildlife photography, devotes a few days a month to this.She has been cycling in his spare time for many years. Amutha, an ardent fan of Ilayaraja, never sleeps without listening to his songs every day.Congratulations to Amutha who walks with courage with due importance for both family and work environment ...!
