Indian American economist Abhijeet Banerjee arrived for the 2019 Nobel Prize in Bandhgala jacket and dhoti. He has been awarded this award in the field of economics. This award has been given to him for his research on 'Experiments to end global poverty'. Apart from him, two other economists in the field, Esther Duflo of France (wife of Abhijeet Banerjee) and Michael Kramer of America have been awarded the award.
भारतीय अमेरिकी अर्थशास्त्री अभिजीत बनर्जी बंधगला जैकेट और धोती में 2019 का नोबेल पुरस्कार लेने पहुंचे। उन्हें अर्थशास्त्र के क्षेत्र में इस पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया है। ये पुरस्कार उन्हें 'वैश्विक गरीबी खत्म करने के प्रयोग' के उनके शोध के लिए दिया गया है। उनके अलावा इस क्षेत्र में दो अन्य अर्थशास्त्री फ्रांस की एस्थर डुफ्लो (अभिजीत बनर्जी की पत्नी) और अमेरिका के माइकल क्रेमर को पुरस्कार से नवाजा गया है।
