Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Alan Purisima on Thursday explained the phone call he received from Oriental Mindoro Governor Alfonso Umali on the night of Delfin Lee's arrest. Purisima denied that Umali tried to prevent the businessman's arrest. He said Umali merely inquired if the arrest warrant for Lee was valid, which he affirmed.
