The Congress appeared united on the issue of P. Chidambaram. Congress party opposed the action of the CBI and ED against Chidambaram. But the statements of former Union Ministers and senior Congress leaders Jairam Ramesh and Abhishek Manu Singhvi blew up their solidarity. Jairam Ramesh appreciate the functioning of the Modi government and said that there is no benefit in PM Modi just by finding negative things. After this, Abhishek Manu Singhvi also supported Jairam Ramesh and said that it is wrong to project Prime Minister Modi as a villain.
पी. चिदंबरम के मुद्दे पर कांग्रेस एकजुट नज़र आई। एक सुर में पार्टी नेताओं ने चिदंबरम के ख़िलाफ़ सीबीआई और ईडी की कार्रवाई का विरोध किया। लेकिन पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री और कांग्रेस के सीनियर नेता जयराम रमेश और अभिषेक मनु सिंघवी के बयान ने इनकी एकजुटता की हवा निकल गई। जयराम रमेश ने मोदी सरकार के कामकाज की तारीफ की और कहा कि पीएम मोदी में सिर्फ निगेटिव बातें खोजने से कोई फायदा नहीं है। इसके बाद अभिषेक मनु सिंघवी ने भी जयराम रमेश का समर्थन किया और कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को खलनायक की तरह पेश करना गलत है।
