Protests have intensified across Punjab as Sikhs hold protests against the recent desecration of Sikh holy book Guru Granth Sahib. Concerned over the escalating protest, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and assured him "all possible help" from the centre. While the opposition is demanding president's rule in the state, the state govt has called it a conspiracy where a foreign hand may be involved.
