समाजवादी पार्टी की सरकार में यूपी के डीजीपी रहे और सीबीआई निदेशक की रेस में सबसे आगे रहे आईपीएस अफसर जावीद अहमद विवादित बयान देकर घिर गए हैं। आईपीएस अफसरों के एक वॉट्सऐप ग्रुप में उन्होंने खुद को सीबीआई निदेशक न बनाए जाने की वजह उनका मुसलमान होना बताया। उन्होंने ग्रुप में कमेंट किया कि 'अल्लाह की मर्जी... बुरा तो लगता है पर 'एम' होना गुनाह है।' हालांकि, कुछ देर बाद उन्होंने कॉमेंट को डिलीट कर दिया, लेकिन पहले की ग्रुप में शामिल किसी शख्स ने स्क्रीनशॉट लेकर कॉमेंट को सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल कर दिया।
