After a six year gap, BJP has reinducted Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in the party's parliamentary Board on expected lines. Modi's selection is seen as a major boost to his Prime Ministerial ambitions. However, the inclusion of Modi's aide and former Gujarat Home Minister Amit Shah, an accused in the Sohrabuddin fake encounter case, has raised many eyebrows. Another interesting appointee is Varun Gandhi, who has been elevated as Party general secretary. But surprising omissions from the party's Parl board are MP Chief Minister Shivraj Chauhan and senior leader Yashwant Sinha.
