Big blow to Jammu and Kashmir Govenment's claim that Liaqat had actually come to surrender. Senior officials in the SSB claim that Liaqat and the group that accompanied him had actually posed as tourists. Neither the group had informed them about any kind of surrender or rehabilitation nor did the J&K alert them about any kind of surrender. Sources also claim that even as the checking was on two men from Delhi police came an accousted Liaqat while another source claims that it was SSB, which accompanied the group to Delhi and handed them over to Delhi police.
