PM Modi also condemned the attacks and called on the nation to remember the Army and Police officers who were killed in todays attacks.
"Attacks in J&K are condemnable. They are desperate attempts to derail the atmosphere of hope & goodwill as seen by increased voter turnout," he tweeted.
"125 crore Indians bow to our brave Army men who sacrificed their lives. These men lived & died for the nation. We won't forget them," he said.Condemning the spate of attacks in Kashmir, CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury said that the government should clarify thier position on matters of internal security. "Govt needs to take a stand," he said.
Congress leader Salman Khurshid also condemned the attacks and questioned the government's complacency. "We should take care that internal tensions should not give advantage to others. Extremely tragic, army men should not be sacrificed at altar of complacency. Expect government to show grit and determination that it talks about," he said.
