Get the CBI to probe the death of Constable Subhash Tomar during anti-gang rape protests. That's what a petitioner to the Delhi High Court has called for over the conflicting versions about how Tomar collapsed and whether he was attacked by anti-rape protesters or not.
The court will hear the petition on Friday. Subhash Tomar's death had led to a barrage of claims and counter-claims from the police and the protesters. The police has projected that Tomar's death due to violence by protesters justified the lathi charge and police crackdown. Eyewitnesses among the protesters claim Tomar collapsed due to an unprovoked heart attack.
