A day after catastrophe hit South Kolkata when the Majerhat bridge collapsed killing one and injuring 25 others. The police have now filed a Suo Motu case against unknown persons. NewsX has accessed a document of the PWD of the Bengal govt. The PWD issued tender for repari work of the bridge in April, but the work was executed. Not just that, a warning was issued in 2010 about the poor state of the structure, but no action was taken.
