The National Stock Exchange (NSE) launched operations of its new trading platform for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), Emerge, with the listing of Thejo Engineering. Union finance minister P. Chidambaram, NSE managing director Ravi Narain and NSE's joint managing director Chitra Ramkrishna emphasize the need for the platform.
