A fireman turned up for morning drill barefoot and totally drunk at a fire station in South Indian city of Vishakapatnam.
The fire station head quickly head noticed that there was something amiss about fireman Mangaraju.
He asked other firemen to stand at ease and turned his attention to Mangaraju, who was tottering, and asked him to carry out specific drill instructions.
What followed were scenes straight from a Charlie Chaplin movie.
When asked to do about-turns, Mangaraju went in all directions stomping his feet as his colleagues scrambled to dodge him.
At the end it was all too much and the drunk man lost way and balance, and waded into a bike, which was parked at a distance.
Officials assured stringent action would be taken action against Mangaraju after a thorough enquiry.
Ironically, the incident occurred on October 2, when India celebrated the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, who advocated total prohibition.
