Leandra Becerra Lumbreras, reportedly the oldest person in the world, turned 127 on Sunday, at her Zapopan home in the Mexican state of Jalisco. Lumbreras says that she was born on August 31, 1887, but she apparently lost her birth certificate over 40 years ago while moving house. During her lifetime, the great-great-grandmother stated that she met Mexican guerrilla hero Pancho Villa. Her family stated that apart from having a defective lung, the 127 year old is 'doing fine', declaring that she kept her health by eating chocolate, sleeping a lot, and not getting married. According to Mexican media, Lumbreras has a total of 73 great-grandchildren and 55 great-great-grandchildren.
