Democrats slam Cruz amendment for allowing ‘junk insurance’

Senate Democrats attacked the amendment proposed by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) to the Senate Republicans' health-care bill as "a hoax" that would eliminate protections for people with preexisting conditions on July 11.
