Social media users based in the United Arab Emirates who sympathize with Qatar could face up to 15 years of jail time. UAE could face three to 15 years in prison, alongside a minimum fine of$136,000, according to the Public Prosecutor's statement. The news comes only several days after four Arab nations cut off all diplomatic ties with Qatar. The UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Egypt accused Qatar of financing terrorism, causing instability in the region.
