Rescue workers continued operations in Kalawana and Kaluthara, Wednesday, following widespread flooding and landslides in the region. At least 203 people have died and 94 remain missing in the wake of the deluge, according to government officials. Sixteen hospitals were evacuated and 1,500 homes have been destroyed since Friday, when torrential rains hit Sri Lanka. A total of 600,000 people have been displaced.
