Shots were fired as refugees ran away from a deportation center after it caught fire in Istanbul on Saturday.
Refugees had allegedly set fire in the furniture of the center in the central Kumkapi district, in protest against their living conditions. As the flames spread around 50 people reportedly fled the building, resulting in police officers firing warning shots to prevent the refugees from escaping.
