Barcelona, Apr 19 (EFE).- Neuroimaging tests can predict the onset of early Alzheimer's 15 or 20 years before symptoms manifest, as these tests detect certain brain changes and a silent preclinical phase with no symptoms, opening the door to personalized treatment of the disease.
According to the head of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation Neuroimaging Unit, Juan Domingo Gispert, this new technique, which is still being studied, is "a radical change in Alzheimer's research."
