Very little biographical information is available about Harry Barth, a tuba, sousaphone and string bass player who performed with Ted Lewis' Band. He also was a bandleader who recorded more than 30 sides for several labels, including Banner, Edison and Pathé. As for this excellent side, it was (still acoustically) recorded in 1928. The vocal is by a totally unknown vocalist named Mell Lou.
