Five ITBP teams launch search ops for missing trekkers

New Delhi, Mar 13 (ANI): As many as five teams of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) laced with mountaineering equipment and medical aid have launched search operations for the seven missing trekkers in the Chandrakhani Pass. ITBP PRO Vivek Pandey said they have deployed ITBP personnel to conduct search and rescue operations. Five ITBP teams, having mountaineering equipment and medical aid, from different directions approached to Chandrakani Pass through the land route, he said. He added that with the help of certain satellite images, they have been given certain specific area, where trekkers are believed to have been stranded. He further stated it has been very difficult to trek the stranded victims due to continuous snowfall.
