Asked by a few viewers to dry burn test the Kanger KBOX 200W in its Nichrome TC mode. So here is the video doing just that - the results are not good...have a watch and see for yourself.
Please note: I do not usually do dry burn test, so if I have done it wrong, please let me know and I'll do it again.
I hope that Kangertech will put out a firmware update in regards to the lack of temperature protection. Reading through the manual, there is nothing stating that it will switch itself off or go into temperature protection to prevent cotton from burning; but from one of the videos Kangertech put out before the release of this mod, it seemed that the KBOX 200 would go into temperature protect to prevent cotton burn, that video in my experience is a little misleading.
I hope this video helps those of you out there that are wondering how the temperature mode in Nichrome works on the KBOX 200.
