Masha and the Bear is an animated TV series based freely on the folk tale in Russian called ‘Masha i medved. This series features a girl called Masha and a bear who is anthropomorphic, as well as their adventures together, as they become best friends.\r

Masha is a little girl from Russia (in fact, she is 3 years of age) living in the woods with her goat, her pig and her dog. In the original Russian folk tale, Masha is portrayed as a cheerful, bright, caring and little girl full of mischief, and the bear is in fact a grandfather-like former circus bear who makes an attempt to keep the little girl out of trouble and yet he is frequently the accidental prey of Mashas mischievous doings. Also, there are other characters in the story, which include the cousin of Masha, a penguin which the bear had adopted previously, a rabbit, a tiger who worked in the circus alongside the bear, a squirrel, as well as a woman bear with whom the bear is smitten, and 2 wolves which live nearby the bear.\r

The only characters which speak are Masha, Father Frost and her cousin. All the other characters carry out communicating by pantomiming.\r

In this toy set, there is Masha, a bear and twelve Play-Doh cans. Masha has very pretty red hair in a braid and is wearing a pink coat with a hood. The bear has on a red polka dot bow tie and dark sunglasses. The set also features a toy tablet with contents involving the story of Masha and the bear.\r

In addition, there is a giant blue surprise egg with the words ‘Masha and the bear written in white plasticine, as well as decorative flowers and hearts. Why not take off all the decorations, as well as red strands of Play-Doh resembling hair, and all the letters from the egg? If you also peel off the blue plasticine, you will find underneath that a big plastic see-through egg. In it, there is another great surprise which will amaze your young kids! It features another doll of Masha, this time wearing a glamorous light blue, and two battery-operated electronic toys! There is also another awesome surprise in the egg – some really cool earphones to o with the electronic devices! \r
