Google has just added the ability to print wirelessly through one site - Gmail. Now is this a huge announcement? Certainly not; however Google's huge announcements all seem to be from small beginnings, things we overlook.
Yes, the iPad has a virtual keyboard, and even a cool keyboard dock that turns the tablet into a quasi-desktop device. But the dock can't be used for lap typing, and the Apple demos didn't make iPad typing seem as comfortable as pounding away on an old-fashioned hinged Netbook. For long-term writing on the go, a physical Netbook keyboard with an attached angled screen still wins.
It would seem to be a superior option to Apple's AirPrint; it works on Android and iOS and on any printer (as long as the proper build of Chrome is installed and you enable the cloud service google Print connector in Chrome), unlike AirPrint, which only works with eprint enabled printers (or at least it will be a superior option when Linux and Mac are supported).
