What to Do if You Have Poor Circulation?
by Dr. Tracie O'Keefe DCH, BHSc, ND

Well, I see a lot of people in my clinic who complained about poor blood circulation like they have cold hands, cold feet, and particularly in the winter; being cold at times. The first thing that you have to look at is your diet. Are you eating saturated fats? Are you eating too much or lots of meat and fried things, and even fish? And that will absolutely block your vessels. Do you smoke? You know that one as well. So, clean up your diet; eat a plant-based diet. Include avocados, they are good food for unblocking the vessels; or you can take herbs like garlic or gingko biloba which thins the blood, but if you do that, remember to wear a bracelet saying that you are doing that.. so that in case if you meet an accident, the medics will know that you are on blood thinning substances.

Of course, doctors prescribe aspirin after cardiovascular disease, I prefer a more natural approach. And also, you can wear warm things on your hands and feet just to keep them warm and improve the circulation. And put your feet up, sometimes, so that the blood is running back and you won't have swollen legs or swollen ankles.
