Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani on Tuesday (May 12) visited Amethi, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi's constituency and met with farmers affected by unseasonal rains. While addressing the farmers, Smriti assured them that the Government was working for their benefit. "We will buy the damaged wheat from farmers at appropriate prices," Irani said. "I had promised Amethi that I will be with them all the way. I will come back on 26th of May. The less said about him (Rahul Gandhi) the better, he could have brought in benefits long ago when he was in power," said Irani. When Rahul was asked about Irani's visit to Amethi, he said," Let's hope she gets the food park back."
