The kid in the meme, Sam Griner, is now 7-years-old and with the help of his family, he is using his accidental Internet fame to help his ailing father Justin find a kidney donor.
The elder Griner has been on kidney dialysis for the last 5 years after suffering a total kidney shutdown. The treatments are now so frequent that he can't work or lead a normal life
Here's hoping the same Internet pranksters that helped launch a photo of young Sam's first beach trip into internet memedom, can handle a new mission - saving his dad's life!
