The international community is expressing its opposition to US threats against Venezuela. The 33-member Community of Latin American and Caribbean States unanimously rejected US President Barack Obama's executive order characterizing Venezuela as an extraordinary threat to US national security. In a statement the regional body calls for dialogue, respect for established democratic institutions, and non-interference in other countries' internal affairs.
