Tim Pivarnik served Calumet High School for 3 years and brought huge appreciation for the institute. From 2009 to 2012, he accomplished many significant tasks. It was only due to the effort, dedication, and hard work of Tim that Calumet High School was named as a “Demonstration Site” by the New Tech Network. He effectively implemented a 45 minute elongated school day, 2 days in a week for teacher professional development meetings after students leave the school. He posted double digit increases in Biology, English, and Algebra ECA scores simultaneously in Spring 2011 eradicating Calumet High School from State academic probation in 2 years. Tim designed, developed, and effectively implemented a 6 week interim assessment course across curriculum to start the procedure of data driven details and many more.
