How this is related to chess, I have no idea. I was expecting a level using checkerboard textures (hey, the one from Dark Hours would work well here!). Even the movement of a Rook and a Bishop wouldn't explain how this level works, as you move more like a Knight at the start than any other piece...

In this level, we get the return of the Nail Trap! This one is extremely evil, it can injure a player pretty rapidly while being rather difficult to avoid. Combine that with the necessity to go through two Teleporters to show off that those alcoves (including a Green Armor that I believe is impossible to get) are inaccessible, and you can see why I get injured a great deal (to the point that I nearly die due to trying to conserve armor pointlessly).

A Super Nailgun and 2 Quads means that killing things in this level is pretty easy. I refrain from touching my Rocket Launcher (EDIT: Never mind, I reacted too fast when I saw a Vore and started firing my Rocket Launcher) or Thunderbolt due to not yet receiving either in this Episode, but luckily neither is missed too much if you can manipulate the Grenade Launcher well enough.

First Red Armor of the campaign and the Quad Damage near the end allows me to conserve it for the next level! I get enough health, plus have plenty of ammo. I shouldn't say anything, but it seems like I am ready to take on whatever this game has to throw at me (besides more Nail Traps...)
