QuirkTools: First open http://quirktools.com in your browser. You can sign up in the site but this is not mandatory. Locate the Screenfly icon and click the launch button attached with it. Now you have to type the url of the site you want to test for responsive design. Here we typed www.latimes.com and clicked go. The site is now open and you could see lots of device like PC, Tablet, mobile, laptop, iphone or ipad in the top of the screen as a bar.
From the bar choose any device to test for responsiveness. Every device has a variety of model or types. From the menu choose a particular device type or model. Now see how the site looks in that particular device. Now browse your site in that particular device and analyze how much responsive is your site.
You could manually (customized) set a screen size and test your site how it appears in that particular dimension. That means you could do a customized testing.
ResponsiveDesignChecker: Now open http://responsivedesign checker.com in your browser. Middle of the page there is a text box. Type the url of your site you like to test. Click Go. By default a screen size or device type is set. You could see how your site looks like in that particular screen size.
Bellow the text box a queue of different devices or screen size type is present. From the line you could choose any device or screen size to test your website. The devices includes different sized Desktop, Tablet, LAPTOP, Iphone, ipad and other screen size mobile phone from Samsung, Nokia, etc.
Choose different size and browse your site in those screen size.
Responsive Test: Another useful tool is responsivetest.net for testing website. Open responsivetest.net in your browser. At the top of the screen there is a text box and you have to type the url of your testing website. Press enter to open the site. At the top right corner of the screen you will see different types of devices are placed in a queue. Choose any device type and then a particular device to test your site. Carry on
