Happiness elusive as the wind
Comes and goes like migrating birds
And the echoing peals of church bells.
I would keep love safe and strong
Held fast within my heart
Not lost to the furies of a purple storm.
I was once happy and royal with my lover
Not knowing it was the truth
And through folly lost all to loneliness.
