Is on Route 237, ten miles
south of oblivion.
Just west of Wall Street,
east of nowhere,
tiny as a termite.
Streets full of faded dreams,
the smell of boiled cabbage,
the sound of howling mongrels,
and children's faces with generous smiles.
Makes Goobervilles sort of
look like LA, almost.
Sister cities: Midnight, Mississippi,
Twist, Arkansas, and Deadhorse, Alaska.
'You'd best not blink
while passing through.'
That's about all anyone
ever says about it.
