I woke up with the lingering of my yester night's dream
That went on sprinkling with drops of lovely hope
For a real day full of your affectionate touch
That can soothe my inmost restlessness
Chilly breeze made me run, (not to shiver)
And wait outside for your royal fall
Passed a few moments, then hours
Yet came none to visit my heart depth
And to unearth what was kept in secret there
If you were here holding me in your cordial hug
I would whisper the deepest thoughts
Of mine in your formless ears
And would giggle in your sweetest stroke
Very slowly I sensed the painful fact that
You were fooling me with soulless promises
That you had given me the very previous day
You had found out my unusual warmth
That was hidden deep within myself
I'd believed in your farewell smile hoping
That you would come down very soon,
To cover me once again with your coolest arms
But realized my own pettiness now
But, dear, do keep resting in the lap of clouds
I'm waiting, waiting and waiting till my time ends.
