1.
Youthful thoughts of hope serge through my veins;
Boiling and bubbling ghastly up to the strain,
Clear-sighted visions merge as I shut my eyes
Of a lark hovering in the snow white sky,
Twittering and its wings flapping in a mystic joy;
Clouds dancing naked: no fear, not coy.
Vessels on the blue gliding gently but drifting afar;
On the other verge shines the evening star,
Shades fall, Sun disappearing with its light and heat,
Shifting my senses as destined into the pit.
2.
Suddenly growls out the twister, the sea begins to roar:
Myself shattered, stunned with the impulse of drastic horror.
All bravery lost, despair broods, courage does fail;
I'm forlorn, entrapped in that sooty, demonic pail.
Glazes of strength turn vague, my flaring pulse gets numb,
Gulped down in that vast darkness, the tongue comes dumb;
Promptly deprived of every sight, my heart cannot bear...
Still no gush, no voice, no diction to make others hear.
