I’m good,
Yah,
I’m good,
I’m singing happy songs
Wearing flashy clothing
Yah,
I’m good
I’m so good.
I think I’m good
My plastic smile –
It never leaves my side.
I call mum ‘Mamma Mia’
My life’s brilliant
Yah
Haze or without haze
I’m good.
My piano teacher,
She asked me last night:
“Which song did we do last week? ”
I told her:
“Tomorrow.”
“Excuse me? ”
“You know ‘Tomorrow’, The Beatles.”
“You mean, ‘Yesterday’? ”
“Oh yea, that.”
We laughed till our tummy ached.
I’m good,
Yah,
Life's a piece of cake.
I woke up at 1 today
Another solitary Saturday;
Nobody’s home
Papa’s gone out golfing
Everybody’s busy keeping up
With the trend.
Nobody called,
Or dropped by to say ‘Hello’
But that’s okay,
Right?
I don’t need them anyway,
Yah I’m good,
I can survive on my own.
My maid,
She cooked me an awesome meal.
And yeah
I received a text message
It said: “I miss you”.
I looked out the window
To see little boys and girls
Eating ice-cream,
Holding hands;
No frowns on their faces.
I’m good
Even though
Tears are starting
To break free,
Yah,
I’m good.
