(9)
A peacock belonging to Mr. Ward
wanders into Mr. Lee's yard
and lays an egg. Now help me see,
does the egg belong to Ward or Lee?

(10)
Albert the miner got lost one sad day,
and in a blizzard he wandered away.
For hours he trudged in the snow and the sleet
and had near-frozen hands and feet.
At last he stumbled upon a shack.
The front door was locked but he got in the back
and found a candle, a stove and a lamp.
The stove had wood, just a little bit damp.
The lamp had oil, and the candle was long,
but in his blurry mind there was something wrong.
He had just one match and was dying of thirst;
now help him decide: which one to light first?

(11)
Two scientists, named Smith and Jones
were digging there among the bones.
Suddenly Smith exclaimed with glee:
'I've found a coin marked twelve B.C.! '
It looked old for sure, and the mark was there,
and all Jones could do was to gape and to stare.
He was amazed, but had a doubt.
How could he find his colleague out?

(12)
My belly gets bigger and my hair is thinning
and I can't recall -
in baseball,
how many outs in one inning?

(13)
For a Dodger fan it was the best game ever seen;
the Dodgers were playing the Giants at Chavez Ravine.
In every inning the Dodgers scored two
while the Giants scored but one
and in the end the Giants lost
and my beloved Dodgers won.
I need not tell you any more,
but you tell me the final score.
