A shadow in the darkness, a phantom in the night
Though you can feel it's presence, it remains just out of sight
A ghost, a ghoul, a goblin, a demon, some kind of fiend
It remains shrouded in shadow, identity not yet gleaned
A fiend shrouded in shadow, a creature of the night
Demon of the darkness, it feeds upon your fright
An unholy darkened presence, it needs to feel your fear
Hiding in the shadows, its' nature yet unclear
The bogey man of legend, the thing from nightmares spawned
We live in its dark shadow ‘til the breaking of the dawn.
