Shane Cianciolo wanted to surprise his girlfriend Rebecca in more ways than one during their hiking trip to the Grand Canyon. Planning the ultimate gesture, Shane took his girlfriend to a stunning point over the canyon, pulled a small box out of his pocket, and got down on one knee to propose.
In a startling twist, Shane’s knee slipped from underneath him before getting the chance to propose, causing the ring box to fly into the air and down into a void of the canyon.
Just as Rebecca began to think the gesture had taken a tragic turn, Shane produced the real ring box from his pocket, and proposed finally to his astonished girlfriend, now-fiance. “Oh my gosh, I thought you were going over the edge,” Rebecca said, as Shane slipped the ring onto her finger.
