Affordable hockey arenas are becoming a thing of the past. The fees to rent a hockey arena today have for the most part become unaffordable. A better way to put this in proper perspective is poor management of most arenas. A properly run arena should afford the maintenance to run it and at the same time have affordable rental rates. Most teams struggle with the hockey arena's rental fees resulting in vacant arenas. So it only stands to reason that empty hockey arenas lose money. Under proper management to maintain the arenas integrity every arena would have no problem filling the calendar. It's time for some serious change and with Kevin Jackal Johnston as mayor this will come about.
