An Assamese man carries Exide xpress batteries up a steep ladder to a tree house in Manas National Park, Assam. Carrying a large and heavy battery up seems much easier than it really is... The battery is used to feed to feed power into the UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply), and is clamped to power up with two crocodile clips.
He also has a dao or khukri type knife to his side. The MMES - Wildlife Trust of India team get ready to monitor the imminently hatching python eggs at Manas National Park, even as the team atop the machan or tree-house avidly follows the developments inside the python nest, on a monitor atop the tree!
A guard of Manas Maozigendri Eco-Tourism Society (MMES) connects battery with inverter to switch on television to monitor Python's egg, in Manas National Park, Assam.
MMES is a Community Based Society for Conservation & Eco-tourism. It has vowed to go on Launching Manas Maozigendri Movement for the cause of Nurturing the Nature for the well being of the mankind and wildlife as a whole through Community Participation in Conservation and Eco-tourism in the adjacent areas of Manas National Park, the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
