BURNT AND GONE
the day it fell to the ground,
memories and property all gone in an instant,
all burned away into ashes,
the flames stood 10 ft high,
the screams and cries for so much worked for and all lost,
the smirk of the father,
the cry of the mother,
the screams of the daughter,
and the raise of the eye brow on the son expecting bigger,
the dramatic looks of the neighbors in the neighborhood,
and now we just have to think of options with concern.
