Golden-age-lips; locked in agreement
To forget everything by morning
The carelessness of cruelty
In the first part of my life
I was an astronomer, back then
Always with the telescope
Held to my eyes
I was always looking for other planets
To sustain me
In the time, before we grew
I discovered though, through time
However blind I might have looked
There aren't any better answers there
Spelled out among those starry marbles
No, though they hang beautifully alluring
And so mysteriously alternative
They are only different, now I see
Never better, never worth the journey
Golden-age-lips; locked in agreement
To forget everything by morning
I forgot everything by morning
They forgot everything by morning
I was insatiable, back then
Always searching for other life-forms
Something new
I was hoping for brief encounters
To excite me
In the time, before I grew
And, funnily, all it took for me
To grow into the truth
Was for you to wear the spacesuit
And depart for planets new
Wisdom-wise-lips; locked in agreement
To remember everything forever
I'll be honest now and forever
You're here honest and forever
