If I can hold on well to that haven—
To that sweet truth if but for a moment,
Ne’er mind, it could stand no test of reason—
Ah, day dreaming—dresst in dappled raiment.
Let me think tall, think big though a bit naïve,
Let my imagination space-time bend,
Let it wisdom’s reality transcend,
Is not it delusion that man’s alive?
This dream within a dream, Nature’s sole gift
To mankind— mind wandering to escape,
Musing, unyielding world falling in shape—
Let it my struggling spirit uplift.
For, none does ever know the truth real
Betwixt the world of dreams, one surreal!
