Music was my first love
It was my destiny
Music brought us closer together
But not as close as I wish we could be
There arose many obstacles
Some large, some very small
With a little bit of effort we could overcome them all
I know we are very different
In many more ways than one
But these gates locked before us
Could easily be undone
I also know you're happy
With the way your life is led
And so I must take heed
Of what's been said
Emotions rise like a cloud in the sky
But one mustn't forget that kites can't really fly
They are guided by the human hand
And the force of the gushing air
Enabling them to soar up and away
As if without a care
I want you to know that from now 'til then
You will always be in my thoughts
