Mark Dillon - Three Tall Ships

2014-06-17 4 Dailymotion

Three tall ships cast off and set sail.
One made the trip, the other two failed.
They sailed into a tempest and the wild winds did wail.
The crew they were hardy, but they could not prevail
'gainst the winds that tore rigging and made threads of their sails.

Nor could they prevent Neptunes thunderous great waves
sweeping o'er the wide decks, sending them to their graves.
Oh the sea it thrashed wildly and broke masts clean in two.
The cargo broke free, in the wild wind it flew.
Not a soul was left opon those two brave craft.
Everything was destroyed both fore and aft.
Now the crews ghosts have become drinkers and mockers
at the lost sailors party in Davy Jones locker.

Now on quiet nights at sea, you can hear the whales tell
their mournful stories 'bout the souls who now dwell
'neath the deep dark places of the oceans great swell.
