Nothing seems to come from Britain anymore
as my trainers were manufactured in France
and on closer inspection it says
made in China on my new underpants.
My socks are from Singapore
Jeans designed somewhere in Spain
the settee produced in Finland
I bet the carpet was weaved in the Ukraine.
And our food comes from all over
Corned Beef from the Argentine
Fish from Scandinavian waters
and it's anywhere hot for our wine.
My mobile phone says from Japan
the same for the T.V.Set
and the cup of tea I've just drank
was made by workers in Tibet.
The watch on my wrist is Swiss
and so I thought was the clock on the wall
but when I looked on the back
it says this is a produce of Senegal.
So does nothing get made here these days
not even the shoes on our feet?
and to make things even worse
we're not even eating our own Horsemeat!
