I've crossed he painted desert,
My eyes wide like a child's.
Walking till my feet hurt,
With the glory of the wild.
And I entered a Petrified forest,
With the trees all turned to stone.
And I was not inclined to rest,
I was like a leaf, wind blown.
I've climbed the Amboy Crater,
And I went down it's throat.
In Amboy California,
Just like a mountain goat.
I've been high in the sky,
On a mountain called Big Bear,
Watching snow flakes on the fly,
With that same childish stare.
The good lord has shown me,
Such wonders that he made.
That I was so thankful to see.
Before life starts to fade.
